The 2022 Chevy Blazer receives a number of notable updates for the new model year, and the changes affect its trim lineup, its exterior, its interior, and its engine range. The 2021 Chevy Blazer was offered in six trim levels, while the 2022 Chevy Blazer will be available in four. The L and 1LT models are disappearing; the following models will all remain available:
Carmel and Noblesville drivers should also know that the Cargo Essentials Package is no longer available. It was previously offered on RS and Premium models. Additionally, the 2022 Chevrolet Blazer Premier previously offered the Enhanced Convenience Package as standard; this feature is now optional on the same trim.
The removal of the low-end trims invites many significant corresponding changes to the Chevy Blazer engine range, including:
Previously, drivers would need to upgrade with all-wheel drive if they wanted to make use of the Blazer SUV’s towing capacity. For the first time in model-year 2022, the front-wheel drive model is also available with trailering equipment.
A number of low-level features—previously offered on the now-discontinued low-end trims—have been removed from the lineup. Features that were previously standard on the Chevrolet Blazer Premier, including an 8-speaker Bose® audio system, are now only available with the Enhanced Convenience Package.
